• What is Agile?

Agile is a effective and quick way of managing projects. It is a conventional project management or product development methodology that allows tasks to be created and feedback implemented at the same time. With agile methodology, remote and on-site teams can work together to develop solutions and deliver customer value faster.

• Is Agile only for software development?

Agile has several uses but it is not limited to software development. It may have evolved from software development processes but more organisations are beginning to implement its methods to carry out tasks faster. Agile can also be applied for non-software projects.

• What tools are there for Agile?

Although Agile does not require a specific set of tools for successful adoption, there are very effective tools for managing agile projects and task, writing epics, user stories, and, story points. Some of these tools are JIRA, Trello, Miroboard, Planning Poker, and others.

• Is Agile the same thing as Scrum?

Scrum is a framework within Agile methodology that helps its users address complex adaptive problems, while productively and creatively delivering products of the highest possible value. Scrum is a lightweight framework that helps people, teams and organizations generate value through adaptive solutions for complex problems. Scrum co-creators Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland have written The Scrum Guide to explain Scrum clearly.

• Who is an Agile Scrum Master?

An Agile Scrum Master is a professional who leads a team using Agile methodology. Scrum Masters are committed to the scrum values and practices, ensuring the Scrum framework is followed while remaining flexible and open to opportunities for their teams to improve work flow. • How do I become a certified Scrum Master?

Anyone can become a Scrum Master with the right training. However, it is advisable to begin training from the foundation. This free Introduction to Scrum Foundations course is a good preview of what to expect in the main course.  You do not need a background in tech to become a Scrum Pro. All you need to do is commit to learning the scrum guide, principles, and agile manifesto. To become a certified scrum master, there are several Certified Scrum trainings and exams to take.
